Devotional Arts 2021 Challenge: The Process Of Painting Innana

Innana, the painting I’ve created for the #DevotionalArts2021 is finally finished! Joining this challenge has been extremely inspiring, and I could not be more thankful to Michelle Simkins for organizing it. Below, you can enjoy two collages of images that I took along the process of glazing the many layers of oils – actually, there are more layers than pictured, but I thought the posts would get too boring.

Please notice that the last one includes a frame test – it is a vintage frame with a wreath of roses, which seemed perfect for this lovely goddess.

Now, to rest for six months before it can be varnished – and me, onto the next piece. Don’t forget to check for the #DevotionalArts2021 tag on your social media!
